Momiji Nursery specializes exclusively in the Japanese maple,

and because we do, we have become one of the best sources of both common and difficult to find varieties. We carry over 250 cultivars along with other species, making our nursery the place to turn to when you are looking for a specific leaf color, shape, branch structure, or tree form. Our customers include the casual gardener, serious collector, and landscaper.

From seedling to specimen size, we grow it here. Our Japanese maples are toughened by wind, rain, and sun to grow healthy and strong naturally so that you can easily begin caring for your tree where we left off. We use no artificial rapid growth treatments that leave you with a tree having unnatural, long internodes.

We graft and care for all of our cultivars. Our carefully chosen seedlings are used as rootstock for grafts. Our focus on the slow, natural growth of our maples allows a fine fibrous root system to develop through each stage of growth, promoting the absorption of nutrients. We graft our trees twice during the year; grafted maples are available from 1-gallon size and larger throughout the year because they are all container grown. Please inquire about our custom grafting.

We offer the full range of Japanese maples: Our nursery is filled with all categories of leaf color and shape (palmate, deeply divided, linearilobum, dissectum, and variegated) and tree size (dwarf, semi-dwarf, and standard). Trees are available in 1, 2, 5, 7, 15, 20, and 24 gallon containers.
